John Whitney, SIOR | CEO | Broker of Record
The Whitney name has been associated with real estate in Waterloo Region since 1911. John Whitney joined the family business in 1975. He studied Planning and Geography at Wilfrid Laurier University and joined the Whitney firm after university.
John Whitney has lived in the region all his life and has a passion to make our cities a wonderful place to live and work. The local commercial real estate market started as a rather small group of practicing agents and John takes credit for training and bringing a broad number of new agents into the business.

Michaels’ background is in competitive sport, representing Canada in 2 Olympic games; Vancouver 2010 and Sochi 2014. Ginger Whitney is a real estate broker, vice president and managing partner at WHITNEY & Company Commercial Real Estate in the Region of Waterloo. As a 5th generation WHITNEY realtor having 13 years of experience, Ginger has established herself as a real estate entrepreneur. Ginger is the first broker in Waterloo Region to obtain both SIOR & CCIM designations.
Ginger is one of the top brokers in the region focusing on Office Leasing, Investment Sales and Residential. She is continuing this success with her involvement in some of Waterloo Region’s largest and most innovative commercial and residential real estate projects. Ginger represents many of the regions larger landlords and their portfolios.
